During our Hamburg trip, we arrived around 9 PM. We hadn’t made a reservation, but we had no trouble finding a table. We came by metro because we thought parking might be an issue. Both the S-Bahn and U-Bahn are very close, so I don’t think a car is necessary. The atmosphere is dim and dark — we really liked it, though it might not be for everyone. The waiters were very attentive. The Italian waiter who served us didn’t speak English, but it wasn’t a problem at all; we communicated happily and with fun, and he fulfilled all our requests. The pizzas are huge; one is enough for two people. We were undecided at first, but we were glad we ordered just one. A very hungry man might be able to finish one alone, but I wasn’t very hungry :). The prices were reasonable. Garlic bread, an appetizer, one pasta, one pizza, and three drinks cost €50. Even though it was winter and quite late, the place was fairly full. I don’t know how it gets during busy hours. Overall, it’s definitely worth spending an evening here during your time in Hamburg.

I’m a local, and Luigi’s Pizza on Ditmar-Koel-Straße 21, 20459 Hamburg, is honestly one of the best places in the city. The pizzas are huge (36–40 cm), thin, crispy, and full of flavor. The Latin music gives the restaurant a great vibe, and even though it’s often packed and a bit loud, that’s part of its charm. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, and the location near the Landungsbrücken is perfect. Highly recommended for anyone who loves real Italian pizza and a lively atmosphere.
Delicious pizza. The service is good once you got a seat. You can reserve, but it doesn't really make a difference; the restaurant is full. The manager is doing his best to get you seated, and you get free sparkling wine for waiting. I had to wait for 20 minutes, but there were others who waited for an hour. You have ample choice of pizza and pasta, as well as some desserts and a decent amount of cocktails and wines.
A fantastic find! This kitschy little spot has the best hand stretched pizza in town. Huge portions and absolutely delicious, you can even watch your pizza being prepared freshly. Staff are super friendly and chummy, great service and fun chats. Loved it here.
We visited this charming Italian place filled with cool art on the walls. I had a delicious pasta dish, while the rest of the group went for pizzas — one of which they found a bit bland. Still, the service was excellent, the staff was super friendly, and even the toilets were impressively clean. Definitely a nice spot for a casual Italian meal.

Wonderful place. Nice atmosphere. Friendly crew. Delicious food. I ordered Pizza Opereta with Citron Lemonade. I gave 4 stars only because it takes a long time to wait for a free place, at about 4 pm we waited more than 30 minutes but we were luck because when I went out for smoking at about 5:30 pm I found the waiting row from the corridor to the sidewalk & I guess the people waited more than an hour, I know it was a special day today but I only suggest to make it bigger for such situation. I had the Milano Pizza at Luigi’s in Hamburg – super tasty with fresh mushrooms, olives, and a perfect oregano. The vibe is cozy and artistic, with candlelight, murals, and an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work. Friendly staff and great service. Highly recommend if you’re in St. Pauli!
